Pranav Kuttaiah

Pranav Kuttaiah was a former Research Associate with the urban team at CPR. His work focuses on exploring the role of small cities in shaping employment outcomes for young migrants, as well as understanding landlord-tenant relations and changing urban environments and labour markets through a sociological and spatial lens. He has also worked on electoral politics and questions of governance.

Kuttaiah graduated from St Xavier’s College Mumbai as the A H Ansari Memorial Scholar and Gold Medallist in Journalism. He has studied at the School of International Affairs, Sciences Po in Paris and was also among the first batch of Urban Fellows at the Indian Institute for Human Settlement in Bangalore, where he focused on housing, tenure and identity. A regular writer, his work on politics and culture has appeared previously in mainstream publications like The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Caravan Magazine and others.
