The idea behind the Election Adda series is to have witty and humorous, yet meaningful discussions on the idiosyncrasies of our democracy.    About the Documentary  The Magnificent Journey: Times and Tales of Democracy Directed by Abhijit Banerjee and Ranu Ghosh Drawing upon unique footage from hundreds of conversations with would be voters and local leaders in the towns and villages of North India, this documentary emphasizes the humor, the passion and intellectual depth that participants brings into their decisions. This is both a way to resist the idea that democracy is an elite preoccupation and also to underscore the enormous challenge of making the right choice.  Screening and Discussion Screening begins at 6:00 pm followed by a panel discussion.
