K Rahul Sharma is a research associate with the Climate Initiative at CPR. His focus is on a co-benefits approaches to climate, energy and development policy-making, and renewable energy policies.
Prior to joining CPR, Mr Sharma worked with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi as the area convenor of the Centre for Distributed Generation. Here he researched solar photovoltaics and solar lighting, decentralised and off-grid electricity systems, and smart mini-grids, and conducted techno-economic and socio-economic assessments of projects.
He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in renewable energy engineering and management from TERI, and was a postgraduate fellow at Yale University.
