Gokulnath Govindan was a Research Associate at the State Capacity Initiative at CPR. He is currently engaged with projects on understanding the moral economy of bureaucracy, in which his area of focus is the frontline bureaucracy. He is also interested in the digital life of Indian civil servants. Gokul is also part of a CPR team that has been studying the Aam Aadmi Party government’s attempts to transform school education in the capital.
Prior to joining CPR, he finished his M Phil in Social Anthropology, from the University of Cambridge. He was also employed as a Teaching Assistant at Shiv Nadar University, for the department of Sociology. He has an undergraduate degree in English literature, with a minor in Sociology from Shiv Nadar University.
