Job creation – on the scale that India requires, is one of the biggest challenges confronting the nation. Addressing this challenge was the cornerstone of the campaign that brought Prime Minister Narendra Modi to power. Three years into the NDA government’s tenure, what are public perceptions of how the nation’s economy is faring today and what future awaits the nation’s children?  What are the government’s views on tackling the jobs challenge?

The Centre for Policy Research (CPR) and the JustJobs Network are co-hosting a discussion on these critical questions. Bruce Stokes, Director of Global Economic Attitudes at Pew Research Centre and member of the JustJobs Network Advisory Group, CPR President Yamini Aiyar, JJN President Sabina Dewan as well as additional distinguished discussants including Dr. Ajit Ghose from Institute for Human Development and Dr. Srinivasan Iyer from Ford Foundation, India, and Gurcharan Das, author and public intellectual, will offer their insights to spark a discussion. We hope you will join us for this important and timely conversation.
