From November 18-20, 2015, around 100 participants will gather in Sohna, India for the 5th Annual South Asian Regional Meeting of the Think Tank Initiative (TTI).
This year’s event is organised by India’s Centre for Policy Research, and is an opportunity for representatives from 14 think tanks in the South Asian region, based out of Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and India, to come together to exchange ideas, discuss challenges and opportunities, and share successes on key national, regional and global public policy issues they work on. Along with several representatives from each think tank, participants will include high-level policymakers, donor representatives, and other policy stakeholders.
Five thematic sessions will focus on how think tanks are contributing to global challenges relating to urbanization, climate change, agriculture/water, social development/poverty, and governance/accountability. The purpose of these sessions will be to highlight key debates, showcase data and evidence, and share examples of how think tanks are instrumental in transforming evidence into policy action.
Please note that this is a closed event.
