Major Findings:
* 33 states and UTs have improved the Performance Grading Index (PGI) score in 2019-20 compared to the last PGI scores.
* 3 states, i.e., Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh and Punjab have improved their score by more than 20%.
* 11 states, namely, Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, West Bengal, Odisha, Rajasthan, Haryana, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu have improved their scores by 10% to 20%.
* 10 states, i.e., Meghalaya, Nagaland, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Lakshadweep, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and NCT of Delhi have improved their PGI score by 5 to 10%.
*Only two states–Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh– have scored less than 2018-19.
