About the discussion:

The past year saw unprecedented challenges for India. The COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant national lockdown crippled the already-strained Indian economy. With widespread unemployment and rising poverty, it is imperative that the budget this year puts the economy on the path to recovery in a way that its ensures growth and boosts demand, without compromising macroeconomic stability. The discussion will address the macroeconomic challenges India faces and how the Finance Minister can deliver “a budget like never before”.
