About the Discussion

Karnataka votes for its 224 assembly seats on May 10 and the counting would take place on May 13. In the run-up to 2024 Lok Sabha elections, this is a very crucial election for three major players in the state. The incumbent BJP is facing several challenges, but is leaving no stone unturned to retain its southern foothold. A victory in Karnataka is extremely important for the Congress to claim the role of principal Opposition pole. Similarly, the JD(S) would like to perform exceptionally well in its strongholds to remain relevant in state politics. The panel will shed light on the emerging issues in state politics and how the three players are positioning themselves.
