About the talk:
As the 60th presidential election in the United States approaches, the internal political struggle between Make America Great Again (MAGA) supporters and Liberals is intensifying. The outcome will determine who becomes the next American President – Donald Trump or Joe Biden. While there are similarities in their foreign policy approaches to India, there are also major differences. Understanding both becomes exceedingly important at a time when the US-India bilateral relationship is staring at new horizons but also new complications. The talk will, therefore, decode the domestic political debates in the US, their impact on the presidential election, and the implications of a Trump or Biden victory for US-India relations.
