Centre for Policy Research is organising a talk  on Techno-nationalism and Techno-globalism in the Rise of China and India to be delivered by  Prof. Andrew Kennedy of Australian National University.Brief Bio of SpeakerAndrew Kennedy is Lecturer in Policy and Governance at the Crawford School of Economics and Government at the Australian National University. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Government at Harvard University in 2007. He also holds a Master’s degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a B.S. in Psychology from Duke University. His research focuses on international politics in Asia, with particular interest in comparing the foreign policies of China and India. He is the author of The International Ambitions of Mao and Nehru: National Efficacy Beliefs and the Making of Foreign Policy (Cambridge, 2012), and his writings have also appeared in International Security, The China Quarterly, Asian Survey, Survival, The Washington Post, and The Christian Science Monitor. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a consultant and journalist in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Washington.
