Centre for Policy Research (CPR) organised a talk by Prof. Angus Deaton on The great food puzzle: growth, poverty, and (mal)nutrition in India on Wednesday, 14 November 2007 at Conference Hall-II of Centre for Policy Research. This was based on joint work between Prof. Deaton and Prof. Jean Dreze of the Delhi School of Economics.

Prof. Deaton is the Dwight D. Eisenhower Professor of International Affairs and Professor of Economics and International Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Economics Department at Princeton University. His main current research areas are in health, in economic development, and in the analysis of household behavior, especially at the microeconomic level.
