The Centre for Policy Research (CPR) is pleased to invite you to a virtual panel discussion on: Open Government in Education: The Experience of Social Audits in India

About the Discussion:

The International Institute of Education and Planning – UNESCO conducted a 7 country study on Open Government in Education, of which the India case study, conducted by Kiran Bhatty, was focussed on social audits as an example of open and accountable governance in education. This seminar will present the findings of this study and use the occasion to expand on the conversation on social audits across government and civil society experts. This builds on the recent interest expressed by the Ministry of Education to pursue the idea of social audits as part of its programme under the NEP, 2020. The panelists include eminent persons from the government who have both experience and interest in social audits, as well as persons from civil society who have conducted social audits in different states.
