Late Shri Boobli George Verghese was a Senior Visiting Fellow at CPR. He was a senior journalist and information advisor to former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. He was editor of leading newspapers, ‘The Hindustan Times’ (1969–75) and ‘The Indian Express’ (1982–86). Verghese wrote extensively on developmental issues and in 1975, received the Ramon Magsaysay award for outstanding contribution to journalism.
