Mandira Kalra was Head of Research at CPR and led PRS’ engagement with Members of Parliaments (MPs), to provide them legislative and policy support. Her core role involved engaging with MPs regularly to understand their research needs, briefing them on upcoming issues and designing initiatives that add value to their work. She also anchored the Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship during its initial years.
Previously, Kalra has worked in the research team of Azim Premji Foundation, Bangalore and Centre for Social Policy, Boston, USA. She was awarded the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Asia-Pacific Human Development Academic Fellowship in 2008. She was selected as an Emerging Leaders Fellow 2011-12 by the Australia India Institute at the University of Melbourne. She has a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
