Rajas Pandey was a Research Associate at the CPR Initiative on Climate, Energy and Environment (CPR-ICEE). He is interested in studying patterns of energy demand, the efficiency of energy markets, and energy choices made in society. His research was focussed on transitions in residential energy demand for cooling – a key component of India’s future energy needs.
Prior to working at CPR, Rajas worked as a software developer at KPIT Technologies, where he built a cloud-based analytics platform to monitor automotive fleets. He has also worked as a research intern at EY’s AI/ML research team and Samsung Research, developing deep learning architectures to solve business problems in finance and communications. Rajas graduated from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani with an MSc (Hons.) in Economics and a BE (Hons.) in Computer Science.
