Shreya Shekhar was a Research Associate at the Initiative on Climate, Energy and Environment (ICEE) at the Centre for Policy Research. She is currently working on energy transitions and the electricity sector. Her research interests include sustainable urban adaptation and the development and climate policy nexus. She holds an MSc in International Development from the Global Development Institute (GDI), University of Manchester where she focused on environment and climate policy. She also holds an M.A. in Environmental Economics from Madras School of Economics (MSE), Chennai.
Shreya was previously a Project Associate in the climate division at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), and has also worked for the National Water Mission at the Ministry of Water Resources.
