Catherine Ayallore is a Research Associate at CPR’s Initiative on Climate, Energy and Environment (ICEE). She is researching the legal and regulatory framework of the energy sector. Her focus is geared towards tracking power sector reforms on renewable energy transition and exploring cross linkages to climate change. Catherine graduated with honours from Gujarat National Law University in 2016.
Prior to joining CPR, she worked with the Regulatory and Policy team at J. Sagar Associates, New Delhi advising clients in the Energy (Thermal, Renewable and Hydro) and Gas sectors. She represented them in disputes involving regulatory issues, scope of delegated legislation as well as constitutional validity of energy policies. She has appeared before the Supreme Court, High Courts, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity as well as State Electricity Regulatory Commissions in India.
