Catherine Ayallore is a Research Associate at CPR’s Initiative on Climate, Energy and Environment (ICEE). Catherine’s research interests are in the areas of energy and climate policy, specifically the legal and regulatory aspects of low carbon energy transition, promotion of renewable energy at the national and sub-national levels, as well as development of effective strategies for implementation of climate policies.
Catherine graduated with honours from Gujarat National Law University in 2016. Prior to joining CPR, she worked with the Regulatory and Policy team at J. Sagar Associates, New Delhi advising clients in the Energy (Thermal, Renewable and Hydro) and Gas sectors. She represented them in disputes involving constitutional, commercial as well as regulatory issues. She has appeared before Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity as well as State Electricity Regulatory Commissions.
